Kahuna

Kahuna is a dynamic, full-body massage originating from Hawaiian healing traditions. Using long, flowing strokes applied with the practitioner’s hands, forearms, and elbows, this modality addresses both superficial and deep muscular layers. Movements are continuous and rhythmic, coordinated with breath and music, fostering physical release while also engaging the emotional and energetic body. The treatment supports postural realignment, reduces muscular and fascial tension, and enhances circulation and lymphatic flow.

Beyond the physical, Kahuna is deeply immersive and meditative. It invites clients into a state of presence, facilitating emotional release and nervous system regulation. In pregnancy, Kahuna offers a unique opportunity to nurture the bond between mother and child, reduce stress, and prepare the body and mind for birth. It is suitable for anyone seeking a deeply restorative experience and is particularly beneficial for those wanting to reconnect with their embodied self.

Mizan

Mizan is a traditional reproductive and digestive health therapy focused on restoring balance to the abdominal and pelvic regions. Through gentle, external massage, Mizan encourages optimal blood and energy flow to the womb and surrounding organs, supporting menstrual cycle regulation, fertility, and hormonal harmony. It is also used to address conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, IBS, and post-surgical recovery, including after caesarean or hysterectomy procedures.

The practice honours the emotional and spiritual aspects of the womb space, offering a space for reconnection and healing. While commonly sought by women, Mizan is also beneficial for men, particularly in addressing digestive and pelvic health concerns. Treatments are cumulative in effect and often delivered as part of a structured care plan over several sessions.

Pregnancy and postpartum massage

This integrated offering combines therapeutic bodywork with a space for emotional exploration and reflection. Each session begins with a dialogue to understand the client’s current experience - whether physical, emotional, or spiritual - and is followed by a full-body Kahuna massage adapted for pregnancy. The approach supports physical comfort, facilitates optimal fetal positioning, and helps manage the psychological transitions of motherhood.

In the postpartum period, this work assists in the body’s recovery and recalibration. Using a combination of Kahuna and Orthobionomy techniques, the massage gently supports muscular and skeletal realignment and offers a grounding, nurturing experience. Babies are welcome in the space, and the sessions are structured to meet the mother exactly where she is in her healing process.

Orthobionomy

Orthobionomy is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork rooted in osteopathic principles. It supports the body’s self-corrective mechanisms by using light touch, positioning, and subtle movement to release tension and restore structural balance. The technique avoids forceful manipulation, making it particularly suitable for individuals with chronic pain, injury, or those sensitive to deeper forms of massage.

Rather than imposing change on the body, Orthobionomy creates the conditions for natural alignment and healing. Sessions often produce a profound sense of relaxation and ease, and are especially effective in addressing musculoskeletal imbalances, postural concerns, and stress-related tension. It is also commonly used as a complementary modality in postnatal recovery.
