Mizan

Mizan is an Arabic word that means balance, this therapy aims to restore physical, emotional and/or spiritual balance in our lives.

Mizan includes a gentle, external massage (mostly around the abdomen area) that brings healing and vitality back to the abdominal area.

As blood, lymph and chi (energy) flow to the womb increases it allows the womb to sit in her ideal position and function at her optimum thus improving menstrual problems and fertility.

The massage techniques can also help with digestive issues and improve gut health which in turn influences the bodies’ immunity. Interestingly up to 70% of our immunity is located in the gut.

Mizan can ease tense muscles and fascia or help with scar tissue after abdominal surgeries including hysterectomy and caesarean section.

Not only is Mizan a deeply nourishing and relaxing massage, it also offers a return to optimum health and well-being on both emotional and physical levels.

Men can also receive Mizan therapy (although obviously they don’t have a womb) they benefit from increased blood supply to the pelvic and abdominal area which helps with gut health disorders and reproductive health issues
