Body Talk®

Body Talk® is a deeply integrative healing approach that weaves together bodywork, talk therapy, and somatic awareness. It’s a space where your body’s stories - often stored as sensations, postures, and tensions - can be gently explored and understood. Drawing on years of experience across midwifery, counselling, and trauma-informed bodywork, I’ve developed this signature practice to support the natural dialogue between mind, body, and spirit. You don’t just ‘receive a session’ - you’ll participate in a process of reconnection and discovery.

Each session is tailored to your needs in the moment. We begin with open conversation, then incorporate gentle touch, creative expression, or movement depending on your comfort and goals. Our focus is on nervous system regulation and somatic integration, and gradually supporting you to process trauma, release tension, and build resilience. If you're looking for emotional clarity, post-traumatic healing, or simply a place to return to yourself, Body Talk® offers a compassionate and powerful path forward.

Tension and Trauma Release Exercises

Trauma release exercise (TRE) is a body-based practice designed to release deep muscular tension and help the nervous system return to a state of calm. By guiding your body through a simple series of movements that naturally activate shaking or trembling (neurogenic discharge), TRE helps release stress and stored trauma at the physical level. These movements mimic the body’s innate recovery mechanism - something animals do instinctively, and we often forget.

TRE is accessible, empowering, and often deeply grounding. It's especially helpful for people who find traditional talk therapies or meditation challenging, offering an embodied way to ease hypervigilance, anxiety, or overwhelm. Regular practice can enhance your emotional resilience, improve sleep, and re-engage your social nervous system so that you feel more connected to yourself and others. Sessions are available individually or in small groups, offering a safe, supportive space to learn how to use this practice as a lifelong resource.
